NHL cancels games through Oct. 24 - 10-04-12

Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

As was seemingly inevitable, the NHL dropped the hammer on the schedule and chipped away a chunk of the 2012-13 schedule.

The league canceled all game from the start of the season on Oct. 11 until Oct. 24.

The Penguins lost the following games:

Oct. 12 - vs. Islanders
Oct. 13 - at Sabres
Oct. 16 - vs. Senators
Oct. 18 - at Flyers
Oct. 20 - at Predators
Oct. 23 - vs. Canucks

The next game on the Penguins schedule is Oct. 25 at home against the Rangers.

EN Says: On a positive note, this prevents the Islanders from going 3-0 against the Penguins since the Rich Pilon Mario Lemieux statue was erected.
