-While he still recovers from a concussion suffered during the postseason, Blackhawks forward and former Penguin Marian Hossa is still permitted to work out at the team's facilities.
-Predators forward Craig Smith has joined KalPa of Finland's SM-liiga for the duration of the lockout.

-Colorado forward Matt Duchene has joined the Frolunda Indians of Sweden's Elitserien for the duration of the lockout.
-Oilers defenseman and former Penguin Corey Potter has joined the Vienna Capitals of Austria's EBEL for the duration of the lockout.
