-Happy 27th birthday to current Penguins forward the great Joe Vitale (above). A seventh-round pick in 2005, Vitale has spent part of the past two seasons in Pittsburgh. Making his NHL debut in 2010-11, Vitale appeared in nine games and contributed two points. Vitale broke through as a full-time NHLer last season by appearing in 68 games and scoring 14 points. He played in four postseason games this past spring and did not record a point. In 77 career regular season games, Vitale has 16 points.
