Southeast Division
-Washington signed former Predators defenseman Jack Hillen to a one-year contract. Financial terms were not revealed. Hillen, 26, appeared in 55 games last season and scored six points (two goals, four assists).
-The Capitals signed minor league defensemen Garrett Stafford and Kevin Marshall to one-year contracts. Financial terms were not reported.
-Former Penguins forward Jeff Taffe has joined the Hershey Bears, the Capitals' AHL affiliate.
Central Division
-The Blues re-signed former defenseman Jeff Woywitka (right) to a one-year two-way contract. Woywitka, 28, appeared in 27 games last season for the Rangers and scored six points (one goal, five assists).
-After signing goaltender Jonas Gustavsson, the Red Wings are trying to trade goaltender Joey MacDonald.

Northwest Division
-The Canucks re-signed forwards Andrew Ebbett and Steve Pinizzotto to a one-year two-way contract.
Pacific Division
-The Ducks re-signed defenseman Matt Smaby to a one-year two-way contract.
-Anaheim signed forward Rickard Rakell, a first-round pick in 2011, to a three-year entry-level contract.
-The Coyotes re-signed forward Alexandre Bolduc to a one-year two-way contract.
-The Sharks re-signed minor league goaltender Alex Stalock and defenseman Matt Irwin and signed former Panthers forward Bracken Kearns to one-year contracts. Financial terms were not revealed.
Norris Division
-Former Bruins/Maple Leafs/Canucks/Stars goaltender Andrew Raycroft (right) has joined Milano Rossoblu of Italy's Serie A league.
-Former Devils forward Vladimir Zharkov has joined CSKA Moscow of Russia's KHL.
-Former Avalanche/Canucks/Kings/Stars coach Marc Crawford has become the coach of the SZC Lions of Switzerland's NLA.
