-The Rangers will raise their season ticket prices by an average of 9.5 percent next season.
Northeast Division
-With goaltender Tuukka Rask sidelined four to six weeks due to a groin injury, the Bruins signed former Stars/Blackhawks goaltender Marty Turco to a one-year contract worth $600,000. Having played this season with EC Salzburg of the EBHL in Austria, Turco must clear re-entry waivers before he can officially join the Bruins. In 27 games with Chicago last season, Turco went 11-11-3 with a 3.02 goals against average, an .897 save percentage and one shutout.
-EN Says: Rask was a big part of Boston's success last season in that he was something of a "1A" backup to Tim Thomas last season and picked up a fairly heavy workload in the regular season. That kept Thomas fresh for Boston's Stanley Cup run. With Rask out and No. 3 organizational goaltender Anton Khudobin also sidelined, the Bruins needed a warm NHL-caliber body to pick up a few games. One can debate if Turco (right) is still an NHL goaltender, but he should be an upgrade at a lean position for Boston.
-The Maple Leafs recalled forward Jay Rosehill from Toronto of the AHL.
-Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov, sidelined since Nov. 13, 2010 due to a knee injury, was given medical clearance for contact in practice.

-The Senators recalled goaltender Ben Bishop from Binghamton of the AHL and demoted goaltender Robin Lehner to Binghamton.
