Another day, another... well... unique.... medical report from the Penguins.
James Neal (right) is expected to play tonight against the Senators despite a foot injury which Dan Bylsma initially said would keep him out of the lineup for weeks.
Neal participated in today's morning skate and said he "good to go tonight. Bylsma explained, "The preliminary tests done after the game indicated a fracture in his navicular area, a tough bone in a tough place to heal. So a further test, the MRI, was done (Monday) and showed that what he had was a preexisting condition, possibly having done it when he was a small kid. It showed up as a crack on the X-ray, but the MRI showed it was not a break."
Additionally, Craig Adams, who collided with a teammate and appeared to injury his knee Sunday, declared himself fit to play.
Defenseman Paul Martin is questionable to play tonight due to an illness. He was described as a game-time decision.
