Malkin out; Devils' lines - 10-22-11

Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

The Penguins will once again be without the services of center Evgeni Malkin who will miss his seventh game of the season due to soreness in his surgically repaired right knee (PG+).

In three games this season, he has four points (one goal, three assists).

The Penguins' primary lines this morning (PG+):

Steve Sullivan - Richard Park - James Neal
Chris Kunitz - Jordan Staal - Pascal Dupuis
Matt Cooke - Joe Vitale - Arron Asham
Steve MacIntyre - Dustin Jeffrey - Craig Adams
Mark Letestu - Sidney Crosby - Evgeni Malkin

The seven healthy defensemen worked in a rotation.

For the Devils, with center Jacob Josefson fracturing right clavicle last night, the Devils shuffled their lines:

Zach Parise - Patrik Elias - Petr Sykora
Ilya Kovalchuk - Dainius Zubrus - Nick Palmieri
Mattias Tedenby - Adam Henrique - David Clarkson
Rod Pelley - Brad Mills - Cam Janssen

Their defensive pairings:

Andy Greene-Adam Larsson
Henrik Tallinder-Mark Fayne
Bryce Salvador-Anton Volchenkov

With Janssen apparently in the lineup, one would presume the Penguins want MacIntyre dressed to night to offset him.
