Kunitz game-time decision; Vanek out - 03-08-11
Some iffy news and some good news for the Penguins today.
First the iffy. According to coach Dan Bylsma, forward Chris Kunitz (right) will be a game-time decision for tonight's game with the Sabres (PG+). He has missed 13 consecutive games due to an undisclosed injury.In 52 games this season, Kunitz has 36 points (18 goals, 18 assists).
The good news. Sabres forward Tomas Vanek will miss tonight's game due to the flu. Vanek is Buffalo's leading scorer with 55 points (23 goals, 32 assists) in 65 games.
Vanek will be scratched along with forwards Jochen Hecht ("upper body"), Mike Grier ("lower body") and Patrick Kaleta (knee).
The Sabres' reconfigured lines at today's morning skate looked like:
