Last Game against the Penguins: 3-2 road loss, Jan. 22. Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves for the Penguins.

Hurricanes Player We Would Bet Money On Scoring: Cory Stillman (above). The Hurricanes re-acquired the Penguin-killer in a trade yesterday. In 31 career games against the Penguins, he has 39 points.

Ex-Penguins on the Hurricanes: Tom Barrasso, assistant coach; Ron Francis, associate head coach/director of player personnel; Jim Rutherford, general manager/president.

Ex-Hurricanes on the Penguins: Craig Adams, RW.

Useless Whalers/Hurricanes Trivia Vaguely Related to the Penguins: Adams is one of two one-time Penguins who have worn No. 27 for the Hurricanes/Whalers franchise. The other is forward Scott Young.

Injuries: For the Penguins, defenseman Paul Martin ("upper body") is day to day. Forwards Arron Asham (concussion), Mike Comrie (hip), Sidney Crosby (concussion), Dustin Jeffrey (leg), Nick Johnson (concussion), Chris Kunitz ("lower body"), Mark Letestu (knee), Evgeni Malkin (knee), Eric Tangradi (concussion) and defenseman Brooks Orpik (finger) are on injured reserve. For the Hurricanes, they are not reporting any injuries.

Probable goaltenders: Marc-Andre Fleury (27-15-4, 2.27 GAA, .921 SV%) for the Penguins and Cam Ward (25-20-8, 2.74 GAA, .918 SV%) for the Hurricanes.

Potential lines: In the wake of yet another trade and another injury, we're not going to even speculate about the Penguins' lines. Based on the Hurricanes' lines against the Rangers Tuesday and the Stillman trade yesterday, this is our guess at their lines and defensive pairings:

Jussi Jokinen - Eric Staal - Erik Cole
Jeff Skinner - Tuomo Ruutu - Cory Stillman
Sergei Samsonov - Brandon Sutter - Chad LaRose
Jiri Tlusty - Patrick Dwyer - Troy Bodie

Joni Pitkanen - Joe Corvo
Tim Gleason - Andrew McBain
Brett Carson - Jay Harrison
