Penguins recall Strait - 02-21-11

With the combination of today's trade sending Alex Goligoski to the Stars in exchange for James Neal and Matt Niskanen and the questionable availability of Paul Martin for tonight's game, the Penguins recalled defenseman Brian Strait from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL.

Strait, 23, has appeared in 54 AHL games this season with eight points (two goals, six assists) and a plus-17 rating.

A third-round pick in 2006, Strait (6-foot-1, 200 pounds) has never played in the NHL.
