-Martin Brodeur made all of 15 saves and led the Devils to a 2-1 defeat of the Senators. New Jersey is 7-1-1 in its last nine games. Ottawa is 1-9-4 in its last 14 games.

-A shootout goal by captain Brian Gionta gave the Canadiens a 3-2 win at Washington. Gionta also scored both of Montreal's regulation goals while Carey Price made 27 saves in the victory. Mathieu Perreault had a goal and an assist for the Capitals.

Former Penguin Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane each netted a goal and an assist for Chicago while teammates Fernando Pisani and Brent Seabrook each recorded two assists. Fire Ray Shero. Marty Turco made 29 saves in the victory. Derek Dorsett had a goal and an assist for the Blue Jackets.
