Penguins demote Jeffrey - 01-26-11

The Penguins have demoted forward Dustin Jeffrey once again to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. In seven NHL games this season, he has four points (two goals, two assists).

He is the AHL Penguins' leading scorer this season with 41 points in 37 games.

Jeffrey, 22, was a sixth-round pick in 2007.

Since he's on an entry-level deal, they can shuffle him back and forth from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton without losing him through waivers and save some money against  their salary cap during the all-star break.
