Fleury leads goaltenders in All-Star votes - 12-28-10

We rarely put much weight into voting totals for the All-Star Lame Game. It's essentially a glorified beauty pageant/popularity contest. But this is fairly significant considering how dreadful this person's October was.
Marc-Andre Fleury has surpassed Montreal's Carey Price as the leading vote-getter among goaltenders for the All-Star Lame Game. Fleury has 311,623 votes to Price's 309,598.
Sidney Crosby is far and away the leader in overall votes with 523,822 while Kris Letang leads all defensemen with 391,525.
Notes:
-Pascal Dupuis will play tonight against the Thrashers despite skipping today's morning skate for undisclosed reasons.
-Jordan Staal is expected to undergo follow-up x-rays on his ailing hand.
-For the Thrashers, they recalled forward Patrice Cormier from Chicago of the AHL and demoted forward Tim Stapleton to Chicago.
At this morning's skate, the Thrashers' lines looked like this:
Andrew Ladd - Rich Peverley - Anthony Stewart
Evander Kane - Alexander Burmistrov - Bryan Little
Ben Eager - Patrice Cormier - Fredrik Modin
Eric Boulton - Jim Slater - Chris Thorburn
Cormier is for his infamous from his junior days for a brutal elbowing hit. Last season, while playing with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the QMJHL, Cormier hit Mikael Tam of the Quebec Ramparts with a brutal elbow to the face:

Tam was hospitalized due to the hit while Cormier was suspended for the rest of the 2009-10 QMJHL season.
