A few minor developments today:

-Maxime Talbot is scheduled to play today despite his having a bruised foot resulting from blocking a shot during yesterday's practice.

-Brooks Orpik (illness) and Evgeni Malkin (undisclosed) are also expected to play.

-For the Blue Jackets, defenseman Marc Methot is expected to play following a four-game absence due to an "upper-body" ailment.

-Columbus forward Jared Boll was not suspended for a hit on Sabres defenseman Shaone Morrison Friday but was fined $2,500.
