Why you'll watch - March - 09-18-10

Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

Something we've done the past few offseasons is examine schedule, and just in case you needed a little bit more enticement to watch a team like the Penguins, come up with reasons to watch all 82 games on the slate. (And we're a little lean on material until camp starts later this week.)

Here's why you should watch in March.

March 2 - at Maple Leafs - Because for some reason, the NHL scheduled the Penguins for back-to-back games in Toronto. And you might be able to see Pittsburgh native Christian Hanson, son of "Slapshot's" Dave, do his thing:

March 4 - at Devils - Because all discussion of his salary aside, Ilya Kovalchuk is one of the most entertaining players in the game:

March 5 - at Bruins - Because Milan Lucic will probabl destroy you if you don't watch:

March 8 - vs. Sabres - Because Tyler Myers is just scratching the surface of his talent:

March 12 - vs. Canadiens - Because Travis Moen won't have this easy of a time scoring a goal ever in his life again:

March 13- vs. Oilers - Because at some point, Ryan Whitney became a tough guy in Edmonton:

March 15 - at Senators - Because you still want to chant, "Ruuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!"

March 20 - vs. Rangers - Because every once in a while, Erik Christensen looks like he can be a top-six center:

March 21 - at Red Wings - Because Brian Rafalski is still looking for that tall, blond, sod-farming thing that streaked right by him:

March 24 - at Flyers - Because there's no one else in the NHL you love to hate more than Scott Hartnell:

March 25 - vs. Devils - Because even if he frustrates the heck out of you, Martin Brodeur is the most accomplished goaltender ever:

March 27 vs. Panthers - Because when he's healthy, David Booth can be something special:

March 29 - vs. Flyers - Because with these two teams, you there's a decent chance someone's going to need a rabies shots:

March 31 - At Lightning -  Because when it's 47 degrees and drizzling rain in Bethel Park, you know FSN Pittsburgh will torment us with countless shots like these:
