Moving up - 09-16-10

Assuming Jordan Staal's right foot isn't touched by the healing hands of Jesus, Buddha or Gary Roberts, he's going to miss the Penguins' season opener Oct. 7 at Consol Energy Center. His consecutive games streak of 312 regular season games, second-most in franchise history, will sadly come to an end.

That means Craig Adams can move to the front of the line. Adams, a hard-working, grinding fourth-liner, was one of two members of the Penguins (Staal being the other obviously) who appeared in all 82 games last season.

Were it not for a healthy scratch in the final regular season games in 2008-09, Adams' streak would've been longer.

Here are the Penguins who can extend their own personal consecutive game streaks for the franchise when the Flyers come to town Oct. 7:

Player Consecutive
Games Played
Jordan Staal 302
Craig Adams 82
Kris Letang 56
Sidney Crosby 52
Pascal Dupuis 30
Tyler Kennedy 14
Alex Goligoski 13
Mike Rupp 4
Evgeni Malkin 3
Eric Godard 2
Brent Johnson 1
Eric Tangradi 1
Matt Cooke -
Chris Kunitz -
Brooks Orpik -
Maxime Talbot -
Marc-Andre Fleury -
