-As spotted by EN reader Mike Bober, Consol Energy Center is changing everything, including the road signs on the Veteran's Bridge:

-Do yourself a favor and check out this report by ESPN on the potential for health violations with stadium food. The network reviewed 2009 health department reports on all 109 venues which served as home arena for every NHL, NFL, MLB and NBA team. At Mellon Arena, 55 percent of its vendors were found with critical violations. Conversely, the Verizon Center, home of Penguins fans at least twice a season the Capitals, had a rate 100 percent of vendors with critical violations.
-The Pensblog unveils a new look.
Atlantic Division
-The NHLPA has until 5 p.m. today to officially file a grievance in regards to the NHL's rejection of Ilya Kovalchuk's (right) potential contract with the Devils.
Southeast Division
-The Lightning signed unrestricted free agent forward Chris Durno, formerly of the Avalanche, to a one-year, two-way contract.
Smythe Division
-Today would've been the 114th birthday of Rodger Smith, a defenseman with the NHL's Pittsburgh Pirates and the Pittsburgh Yellowjackets.
