Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

A preview of the Canadiens.

When and where: 7:30 p.m., Mellon Arena.

TV: FSN Pittsburgh, RDS.

Record: 6-5-0, 12 points. The Canadiens are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and third place in the Northeast Division.

Leading Scorer: Michael Cammalleri, 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists).

Last Game: 3-2 overtime home win against the Islanders Monday. Roman Hamrlik scored the game-winning goal.

Last Game against the Penguins: 3-1 home loss, April 11. Marc-Andre Fleury made 29 saves in the final regular season game of 2008-09 and helped the Penguins secure the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Canadiens Player We Would Bet Money On Scoring: It's hard to argue against Cammalleri. He has a five-game scoring streak and has compiled eight points (five goals, three assists) over that span.

Ex-Penguins on the Canadiens: Hal Gill (right, with Boston's Zach Hamill), D; Georges Laraque, RW; Gordie Roberts, professional scout.

Ex-Canadiens on the Penguins: None.

Useless Canadiens Trivia Vaguely Related to the Penguins: Former Canadiens great Guy Lafleur recorded six seasons of 50 or more goals. Former Penguins goaltender Denis Heron gave up Lafleur's 50th goal in three of those seasons. In 1975-76 and 1976-77 while as a member of the Kansas City Scouts and in 1979-80 as a member of the Penguins.

Best Canadiens YouTube Video We Could Find: Canadiens legend Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion sure liked his Lite de Miller:

(That might be the most confusing foreign language commercial we've ever watched.)

-Marc Andre Fleury (8-1-0, 2.18 GAA, .917 SV%) is expected to start in net for the Penguins. The Canadiens will announce their starter - either Jaroslav Halak (4-1-0, 2.28 GAA, .910 SV%) or Carey Price (2-4-0, 3.36 GAA, .886 SV%) - later today.

-Price's first career win was a 3-2 defeat of the Penguins, Oct. 10, 2007.

-For the Penguins, defenseman Sergei Gonchar (wrist) is out. Forward Maxime Talbot (shoulder) is on injured reserve.

-For the Canadiens, forward Glen Metropolit (illness) is questionable. Defensemen Andrei Markov (foot) and Ryan O'Byrne (knee) are on injured reserve.

-Hal Gill is expected to pick up some jewelery before the game.

-These aren't your older cousin's Canadiens.
