The Penguins are expected to start Brent Johnson (above) in goal tonight against the Islanders. He has been sidelined since the morning of 4-3 loss at Minnesota last Monday due to a "lower-body" injury. His last appearance was 37 minutes of mop-up duty in a 7-4 home loss to the Flyers, Jan. 7.

Johnson has a 5-4-0 record this season with a 2.48 goals against average and .919 save percentage. This will be his second appearance against the Islanders this season. He made 34 saves in a 3-2 loss on Long Island, Nov. 27. Johnson's numbers against the Islanders throughout his career are pretty poor. He is 2-7-0 with a 3.97 goals against average and .881 save percentage.

John Curry, recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton prior to the Minnesota game to replace Johnson, will serve as the backup.
