Islanders nab Streit

Canadiens defenseman Mark Streit has signed with the New York Islanders. The deal is worth 20.5 million over five years.

EN Says: Streit is something of a power-play specialists and racked up 62 points last season which was third-most among defensemen. The Islanders need some help with their power play which was ranked 29th in the league last season at 14.6 percent. He is an excellent puck mover.
