Canadiens forward Michael Ryder has signed a three-year deal worth $4 million per season with the Boston Bruins.

EN Says: Very nice signing by the Bruins. Ryder was a guy who had at least 25 goals each of his first three seasons. This past season, he fell out of favor with the Habs' coaches and scored only 14 goals. The Bruins were a team that had trouble generating offense last season. Ryder is a guy who can help remedy that due to his natural scoring touch. You have to think Ryder will have revenge on his mind anytime the Bruins play the rival Canadiens.

Ryder had been connected to the Penguins in rumors. There was also speculation Marian Hossa was a target of the Bruins. One would thing this would change those plans.
