More minor moves
The Canucks signed Stars defenseman and former Penguin Nolan Baumgartner to a one-year, two-way deal. Baumgarnter played with Vancouver from 2003 until 2006. The Canucks also signed forward Alexandre Bolduc.
EN says: Depth moves. With defenseman Aaron Miller probably leaving via free agency and the death of defenseman Luc Bourdon, the Canucks need some players on the blue line. Boulduc is a minor leaguer.
The Bruins re-signed forward Petteri Nokelainen.
EN says: He's a decent two-way player who can kill penalties.
