Sabres trade for Rivet
The Sabres acquired defenseman Craig Rivet and a seventh-round draft pick in 2009 from the Sharks in exchange for second-round draft picks in 2009 and 2010.
EN Says: Solid move by the Sabres. They need some bodies on the blueline after Dmitri Kalinin left via free agency. The price of two second-round draft pick seems a bit high however. Rivet is a solid all-around player, but he's a little old (33).
