Thrashers sign Esposito

Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

We're way late with this and we apologize, but the Thrashers signed the Penguins' 2007 first-round draft pick Angelo Esposito to a multi-year deal. He is expected to play another season in junior hockey. The Penguins dealt Esposito's rights along with a first-round draft pick, Colby Armstrong and Erik Christensen to the Thrashers in a deal that netted them Marian Hossa and Pascal Dupuis at the trade deadline. The Thrashers selected St. Catherines center Daultan Leveille in last month's draft with the first-round pick they acquired from the Penguins.
