James and Taffe demoted - 12-13-08

Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

The Penguins demoted forwards Connor James (above) and Jeff Taffe to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton immediately after today's 6-3 loss in Philadelphia.

Taffe has one assist and is a minus-2 in four games this season with the NHL Penguins. He has 29 points in 24 games with the AHL Penguins this season.

James' appearance today has been his only game with the NHL Penguins this season. He had 8:15 of ice time. James has 17 points in 26 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.

EN Says: If these guys are being demoted, it must mean the great Mike Zigomanis and/or Maxime Talbot are healthy. And it says quite a bit about management's opinion of Tim Wallace.
