Two more minor deals - 7-1-09

The Sharks re-signed defenseman Kent Huskins (above, No. 40) to a two-year deal worth $1.7 million per season. He had six points (two goals, four assists) in six games last season.
EN Says: This is an okay signing. He brings some grit on the blue line and they don't have a lot of that. The cap number of $1.7 is a bit high for our tastes though. Especially for a guy who missed 53 games in the regular season and playoffs due to a broken foot.
The Avalanche signed former Lightning goon and Penguins prospect David Koci to a one-year deal worth $575,000. He had 141 penalty minutes in 37 games with Tampa Bay and St. Louis last season.
EN Says: The Lightning haven't had a true enforcer for a few seasons. Koci brings that to Colorado.
