The Blue Jackets have signed former Chicago forward Samuel Pahlsson to a three-year deal worth $2.65 million per season. He had 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists) in 65 games last season with Anaheim and Chicago.
EN Says: Nice, nice signing. Pahlsson's one of the best defensive centers in the game and getting him at $2.65 is a nice salary cap number. He'll help the Blue Jackets pull closer to the Blackhawks and Red Wings in the Central Division. And along with Antoine Vermette, he'll help make the Blue Jackets one of the top faceoff teams in the league.
