Two more minor deals - 7-01-09

The Flames have signed former Rangers forward Fredrik Sjostrom (above) to a two-year deal worth $750,000 a season. Sjostrom had 13 points (seven goals, six assists) in 79 games last season.
EN Says: This is the type of role player the Rangers could stand to keep. Sjostrom is a guy who can do a little bit of everything. He's useful in the shootout, he can kill penalties and has some speed. He's nothing more than a fourth-liner who won't make or break your team, but he's still someone who can help you win games.
The Oilers have re-signed defenseman Jason Strudwick to a one-year deal worth $700,000. He had nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 71 games last season.
EN Says: Plan the parade.
