-The Bruins signed former Penguins goaltender Dany Sabourin and former Penguins prospect Drew Fata.

Southeast Division
-The Lightning signed former Wild forward Stephane Veilleux.
-They can't seem to do anything right in Tampa Bay. The Lightning had automated advertising calls from Steven Stamkos go out at 10:30 p.m. The team issued an apology.

-The Thrashers re-signed forward Joey Crabb and defenseman Nathan Oystrick.
Central Division
-The Blackhawks re-signed restricted free agent forward Kris Versteeg to a three-year deal with an annual cap hit of $3 million.
Northwest Division
-Avalanche captain Joe Sakic (right) is expected to announce his retirement Thursday.
-The Flames re-signed former Canucks forward Jason Jaffray.
-Calgary signed former Capitals defenseman Staffan Kronwall.
Pacific Division
-The Ducks re-signed forward Todd Marchant to a two-year deal worth a total of $2.25 million.
-The Stars re-signed former Blues defenseman Jeff Woywitka to a two-year deal worth a total of $1.3 million.
Smythe Division
-James Mirtle has a pretty good look at the unrestricted free agent defensemen still available.
-The AHL suspended the Iowa Chops franchise for the 2009-10 season.
-The AHL also announced a division re-alignment.
