Picture this 8-3-09

Something we fell behind on during the past three months was the "Picture This" segments we run from time to time. It's pretty simple really. You guys send us pictures. We run them.

But during that three months, the volume of contributions made by readers was overwhelming. So much so, that we simply stopped doing it because we couldn't possibly run all the pictures without properly crediting them.

With the season and the draft over and free agency slowing down, here's another batch of photos we received going back to the second round of the playoffs.

Ryan McCartney sent in a bunch of shots from Games 3 and 4 of the Washington series. Game 3:

Mike Bober was in Washington D.C. for the epic Game 5 of that series and spotted a Tommy Maddox jersey??!?

-We apologize if we've run this before, but EN reader Mike Sigler plays in a street hockey league that holds it's games right in front of the White House which is a slightly more spectacular locale than the games we used to play at the Harrison City Municipal Park. Well Mike and his friends were filmed for some segments by the Hockey Night in Canada crew which were used throughout the broadcast of Game 5. Mike is the gentleman at the start of the clip in a black Penguins t-shirt who yells, "Tonight on Hockey Night in Canada!"

Mike and others make a few other appearances in the clip. The best part of Mike's story, in our opinion at least, is that they were given $40 for beer.
