Downtime - 8-17-09

There are times when doing this blog, we just want to take a day off. Like when we're up at 6 a.m. on a Tuesday in January trying to look up a spelling for Ozzie Vananen Ossie Venenan Osso Venkman Ossi Vaananen's name.

Well since it's mid-August, and there appears to be little in the way of news regarding former Canucks defensemen with difficult names, we're going to be taking two weeks off.

But fret not. There will be posts here. We've gone ahead and filed a few posts that will go off at midnight every day during our little vacation that will have a video we just happen to like and a list of any notable Penguins-related birthdays, a surprisingly popular feature that we've stolen borrowed from Japer's Rink.

We'll be back on Aug. 31 with a substantial post.
