The final home opener at Mellon Arena wll have a slight playoff feel to it.
The big screen will be back.
The Penguins will dust off the screen and set it up in front of Gate 3 for Friday's game against the Rangers.
And they're raising some bed sheets with writing or something to the rafters before the game or something too.
EN Says: Just awesome. The Penguins aren't resting on the laurels of simply being a Stanley Cup champion in terms of their marketing and promotions. They're doing quite a bit to extend themselves to current fans and potential fans. The big screen doesn't create one bit of revenue directly (other than the hot dog and souvenir stands they set up outside), but in the long run, it helps create a loyal fanbase.
When reached for comment, Dick Eborsol, head of NBC sports said, "What's the NHL?" then had Gary Bettman wash his car.
