Lightning forward Steve Downie was fined for his low hit on Penguins captain Sidney Crosby Sunday. The amount of the fine was undisclosed.

EN Says: More inconsistency by the NHL. Downie made a pretty blatant attempt to injure an opponent. He should miss some games. He was suspended 20 games once in his career. What's a relatively small fine going to teach him?
