Written by Seth Rorabaugh on .

The Bruins got two goals and an assist from David Krejci (above, shaking hands with Buffalo goaltender Ryan Miller) as well as a goal and an assist from former Penguin Mark Recchi to beat the Sabres, 4-3. The win clinched their quarterfinal series, 4-2.

Meanwhile, the Canadiens got 53 saves from Jaroslav Halak and two goals and an assist from Mike Cammalleri in a 3-1 home win against the Capitals. That ties their series, 3-3. Game 7 will be played in Washington, Wednesday, 7 p.m.

As far as the Penguins are concerned, the Bruins win ensures them home-ice advantage for the semifinal round. If the Capitals win, the Penguins face the Bruins in the semifinal round. If the Canadiens win, the Penguins face the Canadiens.
