A question: Would you go to Charlotte (again)?

Written by Colin Dunlap on .

Been thinking about something as there is a chance West Virginia could wind up in a bunch of different bowl games --- in everywhere from Arizona to a few in Florida or one in North Carolina.

Let's say it shakes down to where West Virginia plays in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.

Because the Mountainners have been to Charlotte in 2002 (for the Tire Bowl) and also in 2008 for that thrilling win against North Carolina, has the bowl in Charlotte worn out its sense of fun for you? Also, you know, it isn't warm there.

That is to say, if you are a WVU football fan, and you normally travel to the bowl game, would you pass this year up because, well, Charlotte just isn't that tempting of a locale? Also, would there be a letdown factor keeping you from going to Charlotte --- that is to say, because the Mountaineers were so close to going to a BCS game, a game in Charlotte would seem like a large deflation and you would pass it up?

That is the sense that I have received from some people who have emailed me, and was just wanting to pose this question to a wider audience.

So -- your thoughts?
