WVU gets commit from Bethel Park's Kwiatkoski

Bethel Park safety Nick Kwiatkoski (pictured above, on offense), who will be a high school senior this coming season, has committed to West Virginia.
Kwiatkoski, 6 feet 2, 215 pounds, also had offers from Boston College and Bowling Green.
Kwiatkoski could figure to be a precise fit in West Virginia's 3-3-5 defense, which employs five defensive backs, as he could play either the spur or bandit position. Think of him, perhaps, as a Nate Sowers sort of player.

Also, remember, Bethel Park coach Jeff Metheny is a West Virginia native, which could have played a role in where Kwiatkoski ended up. While Kwiatkoski might not be the biggest recruit from western Pennsylvania, it makes a tiny bit of a statement -- or at least reverses a trend -- for the Mountaineers. Last year, West Virginia failed to get any players from the WPIAL or City League, even as they were after at least a handful.
