It has arrived.

This is your new place, your new portal, the new one-stop-shopping spot for all things Duquesne basketball.

In short, welcome to DukesBlog, a blog devoted to Duquesne basketball -- largely devoted to the men's team, but there will also be an effort to sprinkle in some things about the women's team.

My name is Colin Dunlap, and I'm your new Duquesne men's basketball beat writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

But, enough about me, back to DukesBlog.

This will be a place that you need to bookmark, that you need to check regularly (as in more than once a day) for the latest news, features, tidbits and, well, anything about the Dukes.

Also, look to your left, along the edge of this page. There are Duquesne links, links to the official basketball sites of all the A10 schools, links to the newspapers that cover the opponents and also some general links. If you can think of something else that needs to go there, let me know.

Now, this blog is not a one-way street. Far from it. And that is what is going to make this thing work.

This blog will only thrive if you register to comment, and you can do that by clicking here: http://community.post-gazette.com/CreateUser.aspx

And after you register, be sure to comment responsibly and often. What you have to say will be the lifeblood of this blog.

Also, if you have any questions/comments/ideas, email me directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

I have some ideas for this blog, some benchmark segments that I have already set up, and other ones that are in the works.

This blog will be constantly evolving, constantly getting better as time goes along. But know this much: It will be a place that you will find yourself coming back to, again and again, to get your Dukes fix.
