Bolding's shot was great, but there was a lot more

As I explained to someone who e-mailed me Sunday afternoon in the aftermath of Duquesne's victory against St. Bonaventure that was finally tilted in the Dukes' direction on Melquan Bolding's 3-pointer, there were a more plays made than just that final jumper from the corner.

There were passes.

There were steals.

There were charges drawn.

There were things done that they don't keep stats for.

Now, granted, Bolding's shot was nothing short of heroic (in a basketball sense, of course), but the meshing of everything that happened, of all the entire roster did, was the reason Duquesne beat the Bonnies.

And, it was, what I felt, a great subject for a follow-up story in Monday morning's editions of the Post-Gazette.
