Dukes picked to finish last
Duquesne was picked to finish dead last in the Atlantic-10 Conference preseason poll today –released at the league’s annual media day in Brooklyn, N.Y.
That’s No. 16 of 16 teams.
Considering the Dukes upheaval last spring – two point guards transferred, former coach Ron Everhart was fired and Jim Ferry was brought in from LIU-Brooklyn – it’s not a particularly surprising position for the team to be in.
No Duquesne players were chosen for the preseason offensive, defensive or all-rookie teams either.
Ferry is attending media day.
