Update 1 p.m.: Am told there is some paperwork that needs to be completed still, but that Donovon Jack's release should be official by the end of the day today.

Donovon Jack is expected to be granted an official release from his national letter of intent sometime around noon today according to a Post-Gazette source.

A story in his local paper this morning said the top recruit asked for his release from Duquesne yesterday: Click here.

The 6-foot-9 center will be one of two signed recruits to move on from Duquesne since Ron Everhart was dismissed last month.

Jack had a particularly strong relationship with Everhart but had agreed he would wait for the new coach before making any decisions.

He did visit with the Dukes new coach - Jim Ferry - last Friday night.
