Source: Everhart to WVU is just a rumor

There’s been a lot of speculation out there that Ron Everhart is heading south to join the West Virginia staff with Bob Huggins.

According to a Post-Gazette source the two have not spoken about the job.

Huggins is expected to lose assistant Jerrod Calhoun to Fairmont State today, according to multiple newspapers in West Virginia. (Dominion Post and Charleston Daily Mail)

Everhart and Huggins do have a friendship that spans many years, so the connection is an educated one to make considering the timing of Everhart’s dismissal last month coupled with an opening on the staff of his longtime friend in his home state.
