1:08 p.m. -- Berks Catholic Coach Ken "Snip" Esterly said today that news of Ron Everhart’s dismissal at Duquesne hit recruit Donovon Jack hard.
Jack is one of two recruits signed for next fall -- a 6-9 forward from Reading, Pa. -- expected to anchor one of the team’s best recruiting classes in years.
Esterly said it was far too early to have news on any potential decision Jack will make moving forward.
So at this point it's unclear if he will ask to be released from his NLI or not.
“I can tell you one thing. He’s very disappointed,” said Esterly. “He really liked coach. He and Coach Everhart had a good rapport. They really did. It was one of the deciding factors.”
As background, Jack was recruited hard by several other Atlantic-10 schools and is likely to have many options.
