Sophomore guard Mike Talley has left Duquesne, he confirmed tonight with the Post-Gazette.
Talley averaged 7.2 points a game this season in just over 20 minutes a game. With the departure of Eric Evans he was slated to step into a bigger role next year, and will leave a void.
His best game this year came at Dayton on the road back on Feb. 1 when he scored 15 points, had a pair of assists and a steal to lead the offense.
I remember thinking he looked like he was playing street ball that night, like he was having fun out there, driving the hoop and just going for it.
He has not yet settled on a school to transfer to.
A call to Coach Ron Everhart was not immediately returned.
