Queen City quips

Last night brought not one, but two, nationally televised tongue-in-cheek slaps at the Steelers from Bengals backers, real and fake.

First, Chad Ochocinco on his VH1 reality dating show The Ultimate Catch remarked upon seeing the collection of 85 female contestants vying for his affection, "Man, I haven't seen this many girls on a football field since the last time we played the Steelers."

Good one.

(NY Daily News story)

A short time later over on HBO, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones guest starred on Entourage, meeting with caustic agent Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) and his associate Lizzy Grant (Autumn Reeser) along with a number of NFL executives. One of the execs was the fictitious 'Leo Gordon' of the Steelers (ironically, the Steelers longtime Public Relations director was a Joe Gordon, but he has been retired from that post for many years).

Anyway, Reeser's character says she "doesn't know" if she can meet with Gordon, because she's a Bengals girl from Cincinnati. Har Har.

The aptly titled "It's Never Sunny In Cincinnati" blog has a video clip, though they conveniently leave out the part where Reeser's character praises the Steelers for winning two titles in the last five years.
