Tomlin in the swamp
Among those checking out Tim Tebow at his pro day in Gainesville: one Michael Tomlin. So says the AP:
" ... Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini, Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Raheem Morris also were in attendance. So was Minnesota Vikings vice president for player personnel Rick Spielman ... "
Could be something, could be nothing. Tebow has yet to be projected as anything other than a middle-rounder at best. Although the Steelers certainly are in the market for another backup. Perhaps Tomlin always wanted a company paid trip to Tom Petty's hometown. But more likely, he was checking out highly regarded CB Joe Haden and maybe even LB Brandon Spikes and almost certainly Center Maurkice Pouncey.
