Despite all the talk by Obama and others about stricter gun laws in the wake of the Newtown massacre, it looks like once again Congress won't have the courage to take on assault weapons. This is just sad. 

This seems like a story invented for cartoonists, but it is apparently true. George W. Bush has taken up painting. Here is a Salon article that shows some of the paintings that were released by a hacker.

It's been ten years since the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld hubris machine took the U.S. to war in Iraq for no good reason. Have these men, the ones responsible for 5000 dead Americans and hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis, been brought up on war crimes? No. Instead, W's brother Jeb is considering a presidential run. Gotta love America. 

A recent incident involving a Pittsburgh Police officer brandishing his taser and threatening a citizen was caught on video. Given all that is going on with the police these days, this is not the kind of PR they were looking for.
