Sixburgh!

As soon as I knew the Steelers were Super Bowl bound, I kept my eyes open for the next big saying. “Sixburgh” definitely seems to be one that is catching on for fans aching for a sixth Super Bowl ring. Back in 2006, before the last Super Bowl, it was “drive for five” and “one for the thumb.”

Cartoonist and ToonSeum executive director, Joe Wos (that's him below in the T-shirt), decided it was time to bring back an old favorite with a twist. He teamed up with his good friend and artist, Steph Scuillo, to come up with this hilarious retro “One For The Thumb” image. You can download the image at Steph's web site. I couldn’t stop smiling when I first saw it. After telling them how much I liked it, I asked them what they would do next year. “We’ll just keep adding fingers,” said Steph.
