There have been many stories written about the expanding American waistline. According to experts, more than a third of U.S. adults are obese and 42 percent will be by 2030. The added cost of health care for obesity-related diseases is staggering. One of the reasons for this epidemic is the lack of affordable and healthy food choices. Fast food is cheap and readily accessible, while organic healthy food is expensive and only available in certain neighborhoods.
