Gay Marriage

I think the White House must have gotten wind of the cartoon I was working on yesterday. It was a drawing of a twisted pretzel-like Obama pointing in two different directions and saying, "forward." He was labeled "Obama on gay marriage." I finished with the cartoon early and was looking forward to the afternoon off ... then Obama decided it was time to put the issue to rest. He made it official: he is in favor of gay marriage, and he is the first president to ever say as much. Despite the fact that Joe Biden's big mouth kind of forced Obama to clarify his position, it is still pretty monumental news. Needless to say, I had to scrap my original cartoon and draw a new one.
