The Tripoli factor

From what I have heard or read, all blame for the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing goes to Libya. I have always believed that this tragedy never would have happened had our country not previously attempted to kill Moammar Gadhafi by bombing Tripoli. This "revenge" bombing killed Gadhafi's young daughter.

Before the bombing of Tripoli, I called the White House, House members and senators, to beg, "Please do not bomb Tripoli." I have no doubt that this belligerent act by Ronald Reagan and his administration precipitated the downing of Pan Am 103.
